Papers [manuscript]. 1955-1988.

The papers comprise: 1. Sixty-four letters from Patrick White (and Manoly Lascaris) to David and Gwen Moore, 1955-83. These letters were written by White during his overseas trips with Lascaris. The letters contain news of White's writings and how his book were received overseas, the theatre, general accounts of their stay overseas and people they met, as well as news of White's mother Ruth and sister Suzanne and Manoly's family in Greece. 2. Two lettes of David Marr to Gwen and David Moore pertaining to White's biography (1983). 3. Newspaper cuttings, theatre programs and miscellaneous typescripts relating to Patrick White. The cuttings contain reviews of White's books and general articles on the author.

David Moore (1927-2003) began his career at the studio of renowned photographer Max Dupain, where his photographic work included industrial subjects, advertising set-ups, and concert artistes.
